UV-A intensity meter
The meter is designed to provide a price-competitive, easy-to-use tool for checking the efficiency of UV-A lamps. As we all know, there is still little or no awareness of the fact that UV-A light deteriorates over time and, as a result, lamps are not replaced or are replaced too late.
As a result, a fly trap will work less well, if at all.
Or requirements made of, for example, a UV-A inspection lamp are no longer met.
The UV-A intensity meter is equipped with an easy-to-read 3.5 inch (LCD) display. Weighing ± 100 grams (including batteries), the meter is very handy for daily use.
The spectrum of the UV sensor has a range between 320 – 400 nm, taking measurements 2.5 times per second. All meters are supplied with a factory calibration and are ready to use immediately. The UV-A meter is equipped with 3 x 1.5V (AAA) batteries and has a battery life of ± 200 hours.
The meter is suitable for both fluorescent UV-A lamps and LED UV-A lamps.
The UV-A intensity meter has the possibility to measure within 3 selection areas:
High: 0 to 19.99 µW/cm²
Medium: 0 to 1.999 µW/cm²
Low: 0 to 199.9 µW/cm²
Please note: We recommend that a UV-A light source be switched on for a few moments prior to an intensity test in order to obtain the maximum values. Always wear the prescribed safety glasses during the measurement as well.
